An Early Introduction to the African Bush

Chitwa Chitwa has the pleasure of welcoming children of all ages. From the age of 6 onwards, upon the dedicated guide's approval, children will be permitted to participate with the adults on safari. For the younger children, dedicated activities will be offered to the family during the arrival briefing.

Our shorter game drives are also tailored to younger attention spans, making every moment of safari exciting and interactive.

Nannies and Parental Relaxation

Parents can enjoy a stress-free safari knowing that we offer experienced nanny services on request. 

While your little ones are well cared for, you can go on game drives or enjoy some quiet relaxation. This service allows both parents and children to make the most of their time in the wild.

For families seeking maximum comfort, we recommend booking interconnected suites or the exclusive-use Chitwa House. 

With spacious rooms, a private pool, and a dedicated butler, it ensures privacy and flexibility for families, allowing them to tailor each day to their preferences while enjoying the stunning views of the waterhole.

Our Children Policy

Children who have not yet turned 3 by the date of arrival stay free of charge.

Children from the age of 3 up to their 6th birthday will be charged 25%.

Children from the age of 6 up to their 12th birthday will be charged 50%.

Children 12 years and older sharing with adults will be charged a full adult rate.

Children under 6 will not be allowed on game drives unless parents have the sole use of the vehicle. Vehicle exclusivity must be pre-booked.

    The accommodations are luxurious and spacious. The food was great and I love the different dining arrangements for dinner, like dining out in the bush with a wood fire pizza oven and full bbq! We not only saw the Big 5, we were fortunate enough to see the Big 7 thanks to Deon! It was truly the trip of a lifetime. I can't recommend a visit to Chitwa Chitwa enough.

    This is an interesting stop on our Safari journey. The staff were excellent in terms of lodge service. The game drives were interesting and we saw a wide variety of game. The lodge on a very positive note overlooks a lake with animals visiting across from the lake and hippos in the lake.

    We had a wonderful time at Chitwa Chitwa. The villa was amazing and the whole flow of the days were perfect from morning to night. Everything was considered in advance by the team.   • The Most Incredible Safari Experience

    My husband and I spent the most memorable 4 days at Chitwa Chitwa. If there is one holiday we want to repeat, it would be to go on a safari again! The animal sightings were so incredible and plentiful over our 8 game drives. The suites were enormous and luxurious, the food was delicious (and so much food), the staff were exceptional and no ask was ever too big. We felt we had the place to ourselves as it’s all very private.
